David Chégnion
Managing Director
David Chégnion is Managing Director of Southern Aerospace and Telecom Consulting (SATConsult). David is in charge of SATConsult’s operational management, development and financial performance. He has more than 25 years of experience in the telecom and satellite sectors, with experience in the P&L management of UK and France-based companies and in setting-up and managing business development and operations teams in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Prior to joining SATConsult, David was Vice President Strategic Development at Airbus Defence & Space in the Secure Communications business unit. He was a member of the Executive Committee in charge of strategy, strategic business development and product marketing. Previously at Airbus, David was VP Sales & Business Development, responsible for the order intake and business development of the secure communications business unit. Prior to joining Airbus, he was VP Business Development at Alcatel-Lucent Mobile Broadcast, a venture dedicated to mobile broadcast TV solutions.
Before that, he was Managing Director of Europe*Star Ltd, a satellite operator based in London and subsidiary of Alcatel Space (now Thales Alenia Space), which was sold to PanAmSat in 2005. David joined Europe*Star Ltd from Alcatel Space in September 1999 where he held different positions within Business Development and Sales & Marketing. David graduated from l’Ecole Centrale Marseilles. He holds a Master of International Business from EDHEC in Lille.
