Miguel Ouellette joined Euroconsult in 2022 as a Principal Advisor. This role brings him to manage consulting missions for governments and private institutions, mainly defining new policies and undertaking socio-economic studies and strategic analyses of new technologies and space markets.
He is the project manager for consulting missions for space agencies and governments, mainly for those requiring economic analysis and market assessments. He also contributes to market intelligence reports, and he is the editor-in-chief of Euroconsult’s Prospects for Space Exploration report which provides an economic and strategic assessment of the space exploration sector.
Prior to joining Euroconsult, Miguel was a Director at the Montreal Economic Institute where he led a team of economists and public policy analysts whose main objective was to conduct research to recommend public policies to governments. He has been invited to several public consultations for both the federal and provincial governments in Canada and has acted as an expert on panels on various economic issues. He also currently teaches macroeconomic analysis at HEC Montreal, and frequently comments economic news in media across Quebec and Canada.
Miguel holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Toronto (UofT), and an honours bachelor’s degree also in economics from Université de Montréal (UdeM).
