The in-flight entertainment and connectivity sector is in a nascent and fast-growth phase. Total revenues from passenger connectivity services are expected to grow from $780 million in 2016 to nearly $5.4 billion by 2026, a 21% CAGR over the 10-year period. Many airlines have already installed or have announced plans to install passenger connectivity systems on board, and the number of connected commercial aircraft had increased by 20% compared to the end of 2015.

At this moment in time, the regional markets are disparate in terms of equipped aircraft and available bandwidth and infrastructure. Choosing the right service offer or identifying opportunities for growth is far from easy.

For over five years, Euroconsult has been running a continuous research program on the in-flight entertainment and connectivity sector. The ensuing databases and forecasts on strategic and economic trends are used to bring expert market knowledge to airlines, service providers, satellite operators, etc. in the form of research products or tailored consulting services.

In addition, over the past 21 years, Euroconsult has established an outstanding reputation for creating and organizing summits and executive training programs. Drawing on our expert knowledge and industry connections in the satellite communications and in-flight connectivity sectors, we launched in 2015 the first edition of SmartPlane, a summit dedicated to the In-Flight Connectivity sector and aircraft operations held as part of the annual World Satellite Business Week. The next edition of this summit will be taking place September 11, 2017 at the Westin Hotel, Paris.

Participants benefit from synergies with the World Satellite Business Week, the must-attend event for the global satellite applications ecosystem
A full-day conference with thematic round tables and keynote speeches featuring 20 high-level speakers from the entire ecosystem
A club-like atmosphere and exclusive social events that promote high-level networking and business meetings
Over 100 executive level participants from the IFEC ecosystem. 2016 participants included representatives from the following airlines: Air France, Air Tahiti Nui, Austrian Airlines, Delta Air Lines, El Al, SAS, etc.
